Registration will be conducted on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

- One hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) covers the cost of the conference incidentals. Please mail the registration to the following address:

Registrations must be received no later than Friday, March 22, 2024. Business casual dress and pre-registration are required for this conference. No registrations will be accepted at the door without prior approval. Department ID will be required at time of registration. Conference activities are limited to conference attendees only.

- Lodging -
- Lodging is available at the Red Lion Hotel. A package plan has been arranged which includes two (2) nights lodging, two (2) buffet breakfasts, a dinner voucher for for Wednesday night (in the hotel restaurant), and a dinner on Thursday, April 4, 2024. The cost of the package is $244.00 per person based on double occupancy and $346.00 based on single occupancy. All hotel reservations MUST be made on a
Red Lion Hotel Reservation Form (PDF Document).

SURVIVING A TRAMATIC EXPERIENCE

CW4 Mike Durant was a pilot of a "Night Stalkers" MH-60 Blackhawk helicopter in Mogadishu,
Somalia, when he was shot down and held captive by hostile forces. Mike will discuss the heroics of
the men sent to rescue him and talk about his time in captivity and his will to survive under
extremely adverse circumstances. He will also relate how he took this tragic situation and turned it
into a positive life-changing experience.

INFORMANT MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL
Confidential informants are critical tools for all levels of drug investigations. Officers must learn to
properly cultivate, develop, manage, control, and protect informants in order to have success in
arresting drug violators and seizing large quantities of drugs, currency and firearms.

TECHNOLOGY THREATS & TRENDS AGAINST LAW ENFORCEMENT
The course will examine and demonstrate how individuals are misusing these technologies to commit
crimes and avoid detection. It will also reveal simple, inexpensive ways to mitigate their success as
well as some investigative tips.

CELL PHONE INVESTIGATION TECHNIQUES
Historical cell-site data and specialized location records have been utilized in thousands of
investigations to successfully track a criminal or put them near a crime scene. Information will be
presented during this presentation on the benefits of using these records, limitations of the records, and
the best software to map the records.
CRYPTOCURRENCY INVESTIGATIONS
The training course will cover the fundamentals of cryptocurrency to include how to
obtain it using custodial and non-custodial cryptocurrency wallets, peer to peer
networks, CoinJoin multi-party services, and various other methods.

This presentation provides an overview on recent trends the ATF has been seeing regarding firearms
often referred to as Ghost Guns, the ability to modify weapons into fully automatic using simple items,
3D printers and laws related to them.
